Just when you thought Brady's summer couldn't get any better...

Brady has had a fun-filled week with his friends!  On Tuesday we went to see our pals at the animal park with Suzy and Allie.  It was only our third time there, but Brady recognized where we were as soon as we got out of the car.  I could barely keep up with him as he went running to see his favorites.

Wednesday was our turn to host playgroup.  We decided to have a water party in our back yard, so we set up a baby pool, water table, and sprinkler.  Brady had a ball!  I couldn't even get him out of the pool when the other kids left.  I finally had to bribe him with tv to get him inside!  I don't know what took me so long to buy an inflatable pool- it was the best $10 I've spent in a while.

Today we had Allie over to continue our water fun.  It was a perfect day for it since the heat index was over 100 degrees again.  They are so cute together, and Brady was asking for her this evening.  She's so much fun to be around, it's no wonder she's his favorite little friend.

And wrapped it up with a little lunch!

Casey comes to town

Casey came to visit over the weekend for what has become our annual No Parents Party.  Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with all the wild and crazy outdoor fun I had planned, so we had to settle for a few walks around the neighborhood in between storms and a trip to the Air & Space Museum.

To say that Brady loved the museum would be a huge understatement.  It was probably one of the top three most exciting moments of his life.  He loves airplanes, and seeing so many at one time nearly blew his little mind.  We ran from one plane to the other, with Brady pointing and declaring "EE-EEN" at the top of his lungs.  Pete might have been a little disappointed that we couldn't stop and read all the signs at the exhibits, but I've gotta tell you, this was my kind of museum viewing speed.

Brady really misses his Aunt Casey today.  She didn't get tired of singing Old MacDonald over and over like Mommy does, and she was a great reader and backseat buddy in the car.  We can't wait for next year's visit!

Let's learn about aviation!

Airplane!
Airplane!
Airplane!  Oh wait, that's a helicopter...
And the space shuttle Discovery, which Brady will argue is also an Airplane!

In the words of Brady, "Hot! Hot! Hot!"

Since our last post we've seen record high temperatures, damaging storms, and a whole lotta fun in between.  Here's a quick catch-up of some pictures.

Brady's summertime buddy, Allie, came over for some play time

We went to the fire dept's pancake breakfast and Brady got to get on a fire truck!

Finally it wasn't too hot to go to the pool!

We had a great time in WV for the 4th of July

It was a perfect day for splashing in the pool
While we were there, Brady got to see PopPop's school bus up close and personal!

Brady was the only one not bothered by the obscenely hot temperature of the bus!
