It's the most wonderful time of the year

Another wonderful Christmas has come and gone.  We were fortunate to have lots of family around this year to celebrate Brady's second Christmas, and our first in the new house.  They keep getting better each year, and I can only imagine how Brady will react next Christmas!

Dad, Lyla, Dustin, and Daniel came to stay with us on the 24th and the 25th.  It was really fun to have a house full of people to celebrate with, and Brady certainly enjoyed the family time.  The theme was overindulgence- whether it was all the toys Brady received or all the food we ate... there was an abundance in both columns!  On Christmas day, Mammaw, Mary Gay, and Frankie drove in to see Brady.  Then on Christmas night, RenĂ© and his daughters came over for dessert.

On Thursday Mom, Steve, and Casey came over to have a belated Christmas with Brady.  The timing worked out well, as it gave Brady a breather between all the family and gifts to open (although he really didn't unwrap anything this year- surprisingly he had more interest in it last year).

We really appreciated everyone that came to see us.  It was so nice not to be on the road and dragging Brady around from house to house.  All in all it was one of our merriest Christmases yet!

Santa Claus

Brady and I went to see Santa at the mall this afternoon.  We waited in line for 45 minutes, and he dirtied his diaper while we waited.  You'd better believe I did not get out of line to change it, either!  Sorry, Santa.  After all that, I think we're lucky we got the expression we did!

Kicking off Christmas

We kicked off Christmas last weekend with a visit from Denise.  Brady was a little rusty with the protocol on unwrapping gifts, but I have a feeling he'll get PLENTY of practice on Christmas morning, and he'll be a pro again in no time.

This weekend we celebrated Sam's third birthday.  It seems impossible that he can be three already- time has gone so fast!  Once Brady warmed up to the craziness of the kids running around, he jumped right in and had a ton of fun too.

Brady gets a new light-up ball from Denise

What is this thing?

Oh, I get it!

Fortunately for Mommy and Daddy, the corn popper pops much less on hardwood!

Ready to terrorize the cat

Mr. Picky decides he'd like a red pepper. Go figure.

Brady and Ezra size each other up.

Yippee!  They have balls here!

Getting in on the "snowball" fight action.
