It's the Great Pumpkin!

We made it to the pumpkin patch last weekend like I had been hoping for, and it was everything I had hoped it wouldn't be!  Brady is usually super-excited to go to the farm, and he has been all about the "pumpkin pouches" this year, so I was expecting a fun-filled time.  It all started smoothly enough, but after the wagon ride to the field we fell apart.  Brady didn't like the unevenness of the ground, so he had some trouble walking through the vines and then he started getting frustrated.  He wanted a green pumpkin, but couldn't carry one and walk very well.  And my main objective was to get cute pictures of the boys, and if there was time get a couple good pumpkins too!  Pete thinks I took too much time with the pictures (maybe), but the ground was absolutely mesmerizing to Nathan and he would not look up for anything!  And of course you know Brady hates having his picture taken, so anything of him not screaming is a win.

Things completely fell apart on the way back to the wagon.  Brady went boneless, kicking and screaming.  So Pete carried him over his shoulder, I carried Nathan, and with the help of the poor farmer driving the wagon we also got our two pumpkins.  Whew.  Can't wait to go cut down our Christmas tree.

Baby Mozart

Are all my chins showing?

I threw this one in just so you know Nathan isn't always happy.

We got a new mode of transportation this week, it's a blast!

Speaking of transportation,

Time to lean in and get serious

Who ya gonna call?

Thankfully we snapped a few pictures before the wagon ride while we were all still happy

Brady was all about these pumpkin-barrows

The great pumpkin patch

Our little pumpkin blends right in

Just one more inch.

Caught again!

What started out as a puffy paint ghost...

...became a boat. A Halloween boat.

Today we took our spiffy new wagon to the playground

That was one fast slide!

Hmmm, what could possibly go wrong here?

Rain rain go away

October is a really fun month around here.  There are so many fall festivals and fun things for kids to do each weekend that we can barely choose one!  We're lucky to have a little boy (and hopefully two) who likes to get out and do fun things as much as we do.

In addition to Nathan officially turning 9 months old, we visited the fire station's open house, a carnival, had Brady's first dentist appointment, and had a visit from Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Dustin, and Uncle Daniel.  We also had about seven straight days of rain, so we are looking forward to getting out again soon.  I'm itching to get to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins!

Before non-stop rain, we had several days with temps in the 80's and 90's

Having some Halloween fun with a glow bath

(just add glow sticks and turn out the lights)

We waited in a very very long line on a very very hot day to ride the fire truck

At least we got to sit inside with the a/c

He got to climb in a police car and ambulance, too

Brady's first carnival!

The cars were his favorite ride

We had some pretty cool sunsets last week

9 months old today

Halloween sneak-peak. So handsome in uniform!

Some rainy-day ipad time

This roll of paper towels kept him entertained for a loooong time

Awesome aquarium at the dentist's office. There are no other pictures to document the day because it went WAY downhill from here!
