Brady sets sail

We just got back from our vacation with Dad, Lyla, and Casey- a wonderful four-night cruise to the Bahamas on the Disney Dream.  Brady did fantastic- much better than we imagined he would.  He was (slightly) flexible with his naps/bedtime, he was well entertained, and he even ate much much better than he does at home.  Well, I suppose we all did!

A good time was had by all.  We sure hope we can do it again someday!

Digging the view at the airport (his first time flying since his love for planes began)

Watching the forklifts haul our luggage onto the ship

Embarkation!

It didn't take long for our first character encounter.  Hello Goofy!

These crayons let us have a lovely dinner every night!

Dad with Ronald, our server for the cruise
Ronald made Brady a bunny out of a napkin that was HILARIOUS!

Oh no, Captain Hook!

Sunrise in the Bahamas

Hey, I think the pool is this way!

Nassau

Atlantis

Brady LOVED the aquarium at Atlantis.  Highlight of his trip!

We even squeezed in a little beach time while we were there.

Rear-view of the Dream.  Our rooms were the deck right above the flag.

Snack time on the balcony

Another dinner with those wildly entertaining crayons

Another beautiful sunrise, made possible by my little early riser
What, you didn't wake up this early on all your other cruises?

Brady enjoyed the sand,
the ocean,

and especially the splash park!

Chip 'n Dale were a big hit as well

The adults only beach was beautiful (and peaceful), thanks to Pete for taking today's nap time!

Brady even has this car at home, so cool!

Bread basket? No. It's got wheels. It's definitely a car.

Mulch madness

Spring has sprung, and so begins the season of yard work.  Speaking of yards, we are super excited to be the proud owners of a fence now, and Brady is also thrilled to be able to run around like a wild man without me ruining his good time by removing him from neighbors' yards.

We also got 42 bags of mulch last weekend (thank you to the genius who thought of this as a fundraiser for the high school football team).  There's no way we could've gotten all that in the back of our cars!

So between the fence, weeding, mulching, flower-planting, and mowing, we've been pretty busy.  And oh yeah, Brady got his second haircut and we are packing for our cruise this weekend.  Yes, A DISNEY CRUISE!!  I know this won't be like the cruises of our old life, but boy I sure am excited about it!  Here's hoping Brady loves it as much as we do.

Quick picture update

Brady is waking up (early) from his nap as we speak, so this post will be extra short!  Here's a few pictures from the last couple weeks.

More fun at the park.  Brady is finally big enough to be able to make these things move (a teeny bit)!

Giddy up

Brady's lion mask- ferocious, isn't he?

First merry-go-round experience

We thought Brady would love the fact that his kids meal would be served in a car.  What we didn't count on was Brady being so excited to play with the car that he nearly drove his food off the table!
