Yippee for three!

Today is Brady's third birthday.  Incredible, isn't it?  I remember his birth like it was yesterday, but wow, how things have changed since then!  Our big guy is using 3-4 word sentences now (Let's go find a SUV!  Gonna need a bandaid!  See you later Mommy!).  He climbs on anything he can get a grip on.  He knows all his letters, he can spell his name, and he can (mostly) count to twenty.  He's 36 1/4" tall, and he weighs about 28 pounds.  Brady is still a very picky eater, but at least he's trying a few more things these days.  And he can throw tantrums with the best of them!

To celebrate the departure of the terrible twos (fingers crossed), we had Brady's party at the bounce house place yesterday.  We invited our usual crew of friends plus Brady's buddies from school.  It was loads of fun and the kids ran, bounced, and slid themselves silly.  I think we were all completely exhausted by nap time that day!

Today we took Brady to his other favorite place, the animal park.  It was his first time this year, and he was thrilled to be back!  This afternoon we worked on opening more of his birthday gifts.  He absolutely cannot be rushed during this process (or said tantrums will surface), and once he opens a gift he must play with it without inteurruption.  All in all I think it's safe to say he had a great birthday weekend!

I thought they looked cute together in their striped polo shirts

You want some of this?

Brady still won't hold Nathan, but he'll at least sit next to him

It's party time! Brady and Mary May

Brady follows Lilliana up the ladder. She was one of our youngest guests, but she was also one of the most fearless!
