Last weekend we went to our city's annual air show. Brady enjoyed it last year, but we knew this year it would bring a whole new level of excitement since he is a big fan of the Planes movie and all the different types of airplanes in it. Since he's a year older we also were able to push his nap time a little bit and actually see some of the air show. Brady had a ball, and has been asking to go back ever since.
Nathan also had his 9 month pediatrician appointment this week. He aced the exam, especially the whole growing part. Here are his stats- weight: 23 lbs 10 oz (95th percentile), height: 29" (85th percentile), and head: 18.5" (95th percentile). He's still cruising and climbing around, and now he can also squat down to pick up a toy or get himself back down to sitting without just plopping backwards. We've noticed a lot more sounds that he's babbling, too.
Brady has been really getting into the holiday spirit these days. Halloween, that is. I got a few Halloween-themed books, and between those and the Pumpkin Pouch, Brady is totally ready. We recently got a Hobby Lobby in town (holy moly what an awesome store!), and I took Brady for the first time Wednesday. He went totally bananas, running all through the decorations aisles, grabbing pumpkins, spiders, ribbon- you name it. When I didn't have a cart he even tried putting things in "Grandma's" cart (no idea who she was, but she didn't particularly resemble any of the grandmas). And when he saw the Christmas trees he really was in heaven. He already picked out a tree and several ornaments, and he even gave a random elderly lady a hug. Which in case you aren't aware, that is pretty crazy coming from Mr. No Hugs. I think we'll be spending a lot of time (and money) at Hobby Lobby!
As far as Halloween costumes go, Brady has oscillated between wanting to be Sofia the First, Brewster (from Chuggington), an astronaut, or a bee. We'll see where he lands as we get closer to Halloween, but my money is on the astronaut (since I just ordered his costume from Amazon).

| This is Pete in AZ, with the plane that they write software for. They were out for some flight testing. |
| Bagel, anyone? |
| We were lucky enough to get to spend a couple days with Allie last week. |
| Watching the RC planes |
| Time for the real show to begin |
| We even had an Allie-sighting! |
| Really, he's happy on the inside. Just give him a minute. |
| See? |
| Nathan loves Brady's fire/police station. Especially eating all the furniture and trying to reach the bell. |
| Already?! Little mischief man. |
| This was the best I could do at the doctor's office- I could only take my hand off him for a second! |
| We've had some really hot days this week, so we took advantage and planted some flowers (and played in the mulch) |
| Pete tried to teach Brady to eat a popsicle |
