| It was love at first sight for Brady |
I took Brady to a sensory friendly concert by the Loudoun Youth Symphony Orchestra. He got VIP treatment with front and center seating and his own instrument to play along.
| He was literally on the edge of his seat through the entire performance. |
After the show they had a musical "petting zoo" where the kids could touch and play instruments.
| We even ran into an old friend! |
| Brady is so enthusiastic that he often draws the attention of professional photographers. |
| Speaking of photographers, here is my week 2 photo (blue) |
| Spring? Is that really you? |
| This is my latest accessory. If I try to shake it? |
| Oh the horror. |
| That's pure agony, folks. Gotta love this phase. It is just a phase, right? |
| I caught a rare brotherly act of kindness (but I was ready to intervene quickly if instead of fixing Nathan's glasses he decided to poke him in the eye) |
On World Autism Awareness Day (April 2), a local inflatable play center offered free admission to kids on the spectrum. We can't resist a good deal, and we were happy to support a business who supports special needs kids!
It was my first experience with a group of Autism parents, and boy what a great group they were. Before Pete could meet us there, I was trying to chase the boys in two different directions without much success. Brady got stuck in an obstacle course, so a couple of strangers watched Nathan while I rescued Brady. And another family smiled and happily offered Brady their popcorn when he climbed up to their table and started helping himself to their food. I'm looking forward to meeting more of them in the future.

| Suzy and Kim-marie gave me this fabulous shirt (it's a heart with puzzle pieces, the symbol for autism) |
| Now it's a party. |
