Getting ready for Christmas has really put me behind on updating the blog! We've got some fun stuff planned for this weekend (well, we did before Brady got sick yet again), so I had better clear the camera asap.
We went to WV for Thanksgiving, Pete's favorite day of the year. You know the pure excitement kids have when they run downstairs to see what Santa brought them? That's the look he gets when Thanksgiving dinner is served. He trains for this all year.

We took Brady to his first WVU football game while we were in town. I've been so excited to do this, and it was even more fun than I had imagined. When we first sat down and saw the players on the field warming up, Brady immediately started yelling "Go Redskins!" But once we pointed out the flying WVs and set him straight he was all in. In fact he woke up from yesterday's nap saying "Go Mountaineers!"

Nathan turned 11 months old this week. It's the last time we'll count his age in months, so it's a little sad. He weighs 27 lbs (hello, mommy's biceps!) and is definitely getting taller, although we haven't tried to measure his height outside of the doctor's office. Probably the biggest gains we've seen lately are his speech and his fine motor skills. He is starting to imitate sounds (kiss and cough sounds are pretty cute), and he will babble when he is reading his books on his own. He is doing a great job isolating his index finger to pry things open and to pinch tiny crumbs of dirt to eat off the floor. He's started to wave, and I can't be certain, but I think I saw him try to clap today. All in all he's growing up much faster than we'd like, but we just adore the happy and curious stage that he is in now.
