You are my sunshine

Our jolly, happy soul turned one today!  I still cannot believe it's been a year since he was born.  I truly have no idea where the year went.  We had some highs and some lows in 2013, but at the end of the day this sweet little boy makes everything sunny and bright.

He gives the best kisses.
His favorite food is buttered wagon wheels.
He loves bath time, climbing the stairs, emptying the wipes container, and literally anything that Brady is doing.
His favorite books are Peek-a-Who and Flip Flap Fly.
His favorite toys are airplanes, cars, and the ball pit.
He has six teeth.
He is a world-class speed crawler.
He loves to be chased.
He is curious and gets into everything.
He is very determined to get what he wants (see above).
He is happy.

The Twelve Days of Christmas

Well, it wasn't exactly twelve days, but we did manage to stretch out our Christmas celebrations for at least a solid four!  Pete was able to take a week off of work, and we enjoyed every minute of having him home.

In between batches of cookies and fudge, Brady and I made some homemade play dough (and about one second after this shot, Nathan totally ate it)

They boys opened one gift on Christmas Eve- The Muppet Christmas Carol and hot chocolate

Snuggled up and ready

Cooling the hot chocolate to a reasonable Brady temperature

Baby's first Christmas!

Don't you wish you could be this happy too?

Quality control

All ready for Santa

Christmas morning!

Nathan thought the play food was quite realistic. Good job, Santa.

It was a relatively quiet morning until Brady stumbled across this gem in his stocking.

Santa left one more surprise in the basement... He converted Brady's water table into a corn bin!

Definitely Brady's favorite toy

Nathan gives a little love to his bouncy cow. What a sweetheart this kid is.

Christmas dinner

Nathan matched Pete's enthusiasm for dinner

Merry Christmas 2013

The day after Christmas Mom and Casey came for a visit.

They brought Nathan this fun tunnel. Who will emerge victorious?

This guy.

Those curls do crazy things after a nap

Puzzling with Aunt Casey

Uncle Mark even made the trip up

And on Saturday, Dad, Lyla, Dustin, and Daniel came in to celebrate.

How did I get stuck on assembly duty?

Worn out and happy

So so happy

It's impossible not to get a blurry picture when Allie and the boys have a play date

This toy wasn't meant for this big boy

Speaking of squeezing big things into small spaces...

This thing's a two-seater, right?
