Children's museum

The boys and I took a little drive to Winchester to visit the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum. I have heard great things about it, and they recently moved into a new space, so I figured it was time to check it out!

Brady and Nathan loved it even more than I imagined- we will definitely allow for more time next trip.  Everything is hands-on and very kid-friendly.  Definitely a well spent $16. :)

The first thing we saw was the ambulance. I had a tough time getting both of the boys out of this one!

Water water everywhere

This ball ramp was Brady's favorite

This creeped both of us out

Getting primitive

Very cool golf ball run/maze thing

Can you tell how much Brady liked it?

Hot fun in the summertime

No trip to Target is complete without popcorn.

Would you believe this is the first time we've washed a car in our driveway since we moved here (2011)?

Brady thought it was a riot!

Last week's photo assignment was self-portraits. Maggie kept photo-bombing so I just included her.

I thought it might be time to take out the car seats and vacuum underneath them. This was Nathan's. We found a shopper card, french fries, and pieces of chicken among other things. Kids are gross.

Fortunately, this kid likes to vacuum.

Nathan is scared of the vacuum when it's on, but he loves pushing it around when it's off.

Watching tomatoes grow

A fun dinner out at Wegman's
Me and some mommy-runner friends before an 8K to benefit The Paxton Campus, a center that supports families and individuals with disabilities, and where Brady will be attending summer camp!

Running happy

Nathan likes to put on his helmet and "ride" Brady's scooter around the cul-de-sac.

This is the summer of dirt. More digging, more planting.

One evening I ran downtown to snap a few pictures for this week's theme of motion. My motion shots didn't turn out that well, but these are some of my other favorite images.

Payne's Biker Bar: Better of here than across the street (the court house)

These pretty petunias were growing up through the sidewalk.

Here's my best motion shot. I felt like a total creepster standing on the corner taking pictures of strangers driving by.

I got the urge to make s'mores. I bet you can guess who was a fan!
