Mother's Day

This year my Mother's Day was filled with my favorite things.  On Saturday evening, Brady and I went shopping and out to dinner at someplace other than McDonald's!  I started Sunday morning with a Mother's Day 4 Miler race, then I came home and took Brady to swimming.  After swimming, we went to a nursery to pick out flowers to plant.  Finally, after nap time, we headed to a winery for a little picnic and play time.  I couldn't have planned it better myself! ;)

The sweetest date ever.

I'm pretty sure Nathan and I finished off that warm buttery loaf of bread all by ourselves.

It was a beautiful day, so the winery was packed. The boys hitched a ride with the owner to our car.

Her husband saw me taking this picture through the fence, so he opened the gate and let me come in for a closer look.

These are Merlot grapes- just starting to bud.

Hanging baskets from Brady and Nathan

And beautiful flowers from Loraine and JT. What a great day!

Dandelion adventures

We had our first 80 degree day this week, so it was time to dump the corn and fill the water table with water once more! Nathan is a big fan of splashing, so I knew he would love it just as much as Brady does.

Caught red handed in the pantry

Brady is always up for an adventure, so the warm temperatures have me on the lookout for new places to explore. I passed a big field of dandelions on a recent run, so I knew I'd have to take my flower-loving boys back for some dandelion wishes!

Derby Day

The Easter Bunny brought fun bath stickers and tablets to color the water. Good times!

Week 6: Something sweet

Brady is always up for a good experiment. We saw white carnations at Costco and I had an idea.

The next day we had a beautiful rainbow of colors!

This "water feature" is evidently one of the cooler spots in our back yard.

We love our garbage men.

Week 7: Shadows

Modeling is exhausting.

Master of the fork.

Farmer Cheeks

Brady is enjoying his new soccer goal from Uncle Frankie and Aunt Mary Gay

And his Planes garden set from Nana and Pop Pop (AKA his "fork, spoon, and snow mittens")

He said "I'm gardening!"

He got an RC jeep from his buddy Ezra. It is even more fun to chase than operate!

Our friends Mark and Jessica (KY natives) threw a fantastic Derby party

It's possible Brady may be slightly obsessed with Lili. He talks about her every day now.

It's also possible he thought this was his birthday party. He told his OT today that his party was at Lilliana's house. No wonder he had such a great time!

Baby's first chicken leg.

I guess it is finger lickin' good!

I'll have some more, please

Week 8: Hands and feet

Real life!

Man, that sand box is HILARIOUS!

Brady and I had fun collecting food in the neighborhood for a food drive

This boy loves dirt

Just call me Pigpen
