Boy Oh Boy!: More candy, pweeeeese

Wow, we were really into Halloween this year. I don't think I realized how much we celebrated until I pulled all the pictures off the camera. Here is how we spent the last week. I'm pretty sure we got our money's worth out of this year's costumes!

First was Brady's Fall Festival at preschool. The kids rotated between an obstacle course, pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, dancing, and bowling. They wrapped it up with a pumpkin story at the end, which Brady was super-excited about because we happened to have that same book at home (thanks for Spookley, Nana)!

The very next day, Brady's preschool took a field trip to our beloved animal park, which transforms into Pumpkinville during the month of October. Brady got to ride the school bus and see his animal friends, so it was a stellar day by his standards.

Pete confirms that this is quite a workout.

Up next was the air and space museum's annual Air and Scare. They do a little decorating and have a lot of hands-on activities for the kids to enjoy. And trick-or-treating, so Brady got to practice a little before the big night!

Whenever someone would give him a non-candy item (like this bookmark), he would pull it out of his bag and give it to Pete. He had zero interest in anything but real treats! Hilarious, of course, because he doesn't like candy.

Our buddy Allie (and her parents) were kind enough to invite us to a Halloween party. Brady got to do some crafts, decorate some cookies (and learn that he does not like Reese's pieces), "bob" for doughnuts, and more pumpkin bowling!

Finally, the big day is here! We hit the Halloween parade, but not for long. First, it started sprinkling. And second, Brady was a little scared of the lights on the fire trucks once it got dark. When we got home, it was go time for trick-or-treating. We decided to bench Nathan this year since it was his bedtime, but Brady and Daddy had a ball. Pete says Brady loved trick-or-treating with another group of kids, and he would say in his sweetest little voice "More candy, pweeeeese!" I guess even after all that practice, trick-or-treat just doesn't roll off the tongue. At least he said please.
