Pack it up, pack it in

After a lot of hard work the past few days, we are officially packed.  The movers come tomorrow morning, and Brady and I went to WV to get out of the way.  I think even Brady was starting to get stressed out with all the packing- he got upset when I packed the last of his toys today, and he climbed on top of the suitcase trying to get to them.

I will go back tomorrow night without Brady- it's the first time we are leaving him overnight.  It'll be tough, but I know he'll be in good hands at Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Dustin, and Uncle Daniel's house.

Thursday we settle on both the sale of our house and the purchase of the new house.  By Thursday evening we should be in our new place!  And on Friday our belongings and our Brady will be delivered to us.  We can't wait!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddys out there!  We had an extra special day celebrating what a fantastic dad Pete is.  Brady and I let him sleep in while we went to the grocery store to pick up a special treat.  Then we went to IHOP for brunch (Pete's favorite), and later, we walked to the park to squeeze in even more fun!

Here are pictures from today and other things we've been up to this week:

This isn't so bad after all

I like it!

He loves trees (and plants and flowers and anything else he can grab and rip).

I just couldn't resist...

Happy Father's Day (minus a few bites)!

Ooh, that's fun too!

Sliding might be even more fun than swinging!

A break from packing

We have been busy getting ready for the big move.  I've been packing as much as possible, and Brady, well, he's not exactly pulling his own weight around here.  Pete came home Tuesday, and we were happy it was such a short trip.  Unfortunately he'll have to leave again the week before we move, but not to worry, we've recruited help from Nana.

This weekend we attended Sophie's first birthday party.  She's a doll- she looked like a princess!  We were so happy that she was feeling well again... Remember the pictures of her and Brady in last week's post?  Yep, Brady gave her strep.

Today Brady reached a milestone we knew was inevitable- he tried to eat the cat's food.  We stopped him (this time), but I'm sure it's not the worst thing he'll eat during his childhood.

Mommy's little helper.  He gets so excited when he sees the dishwasher open.

Brady LOVES his trike!  He smiled the whole time we were outside, and it was over 90 degrees!

On the move in the comfort of our air conditioning.

He's like a giant next to his kitchen now!

Still such a cutie, though.

Sick baby

Brady had his first sick visit to the pediatrician this week.  All in all, I suppose that's not too bad a streak!  The poor little guy has strep throat.  Only I had no idea that he had strep.  He was uncharacteristically grumpy for several days, and he refused his bottles.  I thought maybe his stomach was bothering him, and I didn't know how to make him feel better (and honestly I didn't think I could take another day of the grumps), so I made an appointment.  Fortunately we're on day three of antibiotics, and he seems like he's finally feeling better!

Lucky number 7

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary!  What to get for the person who has everything?  A house, that's what!  Yes, we signed a contract on a house yesterday morning.  We still have to get through the home inspection and appraisal, but if all goes well we will be moving into our new house on July 1!  As I'm sure you can imagine, we are incredibly excited.  The house has lots of room for Brady (and future sibling(s)), a great yard, and the neighborhood is very family-friendly.  We can't wait to move in and have you all over for a visit!

You didn't think we'd have a posting without Brady pictures, did you?  He is celebrating our 7th year by having 7 teeth now.  The better to bite me with...

"Who, me?"

"I love cabinets!"

"Almost as much as I love fans!"

It's blurry, but it's one of our favorite silly faces.

"Oh magic ball, how you mesmerize me!"
